FLIR Tools shows a rainbow-colored image. How do I fix this?
FLIR Tools is not receiving the live image stream from the camera. This might be due to your firewall blocking FLIR Tools: change the firewall settings to allow FLIR Tools through the firewall, and live images should then display correctly.

Yes, fiber extenders can be used to place the camera at long distances from the data system. The SCx000 series cameras utilize standard interfaces such as USB, GigE and Camera Link. There are a number of commerical products available for each of of these interfaces. FLIR Systems has not tested all of them for compatability. We have used a few of them sucessfully and we expect that most should work. The SCx000 cameras have an external BNC input on the back panel that is labeled "Sync In". This port is looking for a TTL pulse.

We do not recommend using a USB hub. It can cause problems with data streaming and charging of the battery. We recommend using a USB port on your computer providing charging power. These ports are usually marked with a lightning symbol.
