Yes, fiber extenders can be used to place the camera at long distances from the data system. The SCx000 series cameras utilize standard interfaces such as USB, GigE and Camera Link. There are a number of commerical products available for each of of these interfaces. FLIR Systems has not tested all of them for compatability. We have used a few of them sucessfully and we expect that most should work. FLIR Tools shows a rainbow-colored image. How do I fix this?
FLIR Tools is not receiving the live image stream from the camera. This might be due to your firewall blocking FLIR Tools: change the firewall settings to allow FLIR Tools through the firewall, and live images should then display correctly.

How do I work with alarms on the A310 using the digital output/input?
Some applications may require the camera to be used as a dry contact. In such cases, an auxiliary relay should be used, and the Relay# connector will be the dry contact.

There are two firmware versions for the A3xx. Which should I choose?
The firmware updates for FLIR A3xx cameras can be found under partner tab/Firmware updates. If you do not have access to the partner tab and are a registered FLIR partner, contact customer support and send us information about your partnership. We will then make the required changes.

Why does streaming in FLIR Tools reduce to 1 fps or 15 fps?
This can be due to the fact that the camera is in DC, PiP, Fusion or MSX mode when the it was connected to the PC.
