New FLIR Camera Technology Provides Unmatched Perimeter Security So Users Can Detect, Track, and Act
FLIR, a Teledyne Technologies company, today released its newest high-resolution visible/thermal security camera for commercial and industrial sites, the FLIR PT-Series AI SR. FLIR developed this visible 4K and thermal pan/tilt short-range security camera in response to modern security challenges that require more than just passive detection and monitoring: they demand a multispectral solution that actively identifies, tracks, and responds to threats in real time. With the FLIR PT-Series AI SR, site operators can detect intrusions early, gain a better understanding of threats from improved intruder identification, and leverage smarter data coordination for a stronger, more comprehensive security response.

Is window needed in front FLIR camera that won't interfere thermal?
Yes, germanium is a recommended window material for long wavelength infrared (LWIR) cameras such as Tau2, Quark2, Boson, Lepton. Germanium has very good transmission, but is relatively expensive.
-
Does neutral density filter affect scene dynamic range FLIR’s OEM cams
Scene dynamic range is inversely proportional to the transmission loss introduced by a neutral density (ND) filter
-
How far can I see with the PathFindIR II, Tau2, or Quark2?
"How far can I see..." is one of the most commonly asked questions about thermal imaging cameras.
-
Can FLIR provide SDK documentation so we can decide whether to order?
Can FLIR provide the SDK documentation, or a list of functions controlled by the SDK, so we can make a decision on whether to order it?

Do Tau2 Quark2 cameras allow thermography and temp characterization?
Do Tau2 or Quark2 cameras allow for thermography and temperature characterization?
-
Does FLIR's SDK include support for Red Hat - Linux?
The Tau/Quark SDK doesn’t target support for specific O/S releases. In general, any modern Linux is supported, but not with pre-compiled binaries
