Effort Will Maintain Land- and Sea-Based Imaging Systems used for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance; Builds on Recent Awards Worth $16.2 Million for Other System Upgrades WILSONVILLE, OR, Feb. 8, 2022 ― Teledyne FLIR Defense, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY), announced that the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center has awarded the company an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract worth up to $43.9 million to service electro-optical sensor systems used for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). The contract will provide replacement parts and technical support for several land- and sea-based systems used by the United States Navy and Coast Guard, including the BRITE® Star II, the Sea Star SAFIRE® III, and the Star SAFIRE® 380-HD.

DALO also has awarded the companies a service and maintenance contract.

Bush fires have become a common phenomenon during Australia’s summer season. Usually, these fires destroy many acres of valuable land and they have a devastating impact on wildlife. Firefighters often risk their lives to stop fires from spreading. Luckily, these disasters also lead to worldwide acts of solidarity and support. As a provider of lifesaving technologies for first responders, Teledyne FLIR recently donated 100 FLIR K1 situational awareness thermal cameras to volunteer fire departments in need of the technology.
